How to send Web Content to us

Design Stage

To Design the webpage template for your site we will need the following:

  • your logo if you have one
  • the images that you want to appear in the heading/footer of every page*

These can be sent:

 

* it is a good idea to use more generic images in the header of your page so that they do not go out of date so quickly.   The other images in the main content area of the page are changed easily at any time either by you (if you have a CMS) or by us, but a change to the tempalte takes a little more time.
eg - landscape shots, collages of a varierty of aspects of your business, something that will saty relevant for a while.

 

Page Content

Once we have finished building the website structure, we will need the text and images you want placed on each page.

If we are building you a Content Management System website, we place 4-5 pages of content and then show you how to do the rest (Or we can negotiate on this!)

So that we know clearly what goes where please send in the following manner:

  1. Create a word document for each page of your website and name it so we know what page it belongs on   (eg "homepage.doc, about_us.doc  etc)
    Insert images into these pages as well so we know where to place them
    BUT PLEASE SEND IMAGE FILES SEPARATELY AS WELL

    OR
    Send the content for each page in separate emails - make sure the subject line indicates what page the text will go on.  Insert notes about what image to place where
     
  2. Name images clearly so we know what page they belong on, eg "about_us1.jpg"
    OR send clear instructions - eg - "dscn0129.jpg - place near top of About Us page"
     
  3. If images are more than 2MB in size, please send them one at a time as attachments in an email - in the subject line be sure to say where you want the image placed
     
  4. If you want to include documents for download on your website, it is best to convert them to a PDF file.

    If you send us your documents in Word, Excel, Publisher, we can convert them to PDF for you.
     
  5. Any other content such as Latest News items, images for a photo gallery, products for an online store - follow the same procedure, mark very clearly what goes where.
