What is a domain name email address?
A ‘domain name’ is the unique URL (or website address) that is registered for a website, for example www.bizboost.com.au. A ‘domain name email’ is an email address that has the domain name after the @ symbol, for example info@bizboost.com.au
What are the benefits of a domain name email address?
1) Domain name email addresses look more professional for businesses. For example, compare an email address such as rachel7@bigpond.com.au to a domain name email address of rachel@bizboost.com.au or info@bizboost.com.au
2) You will never have to change your email address again. Even if you change your internet provider in the future there will be no need to notify all of your contacts that your email address has changed. And this can be a real cost saver if you have printed materials like business cards, stationery, signage and other marketing materials that you would otherwise have to update and re-print.
3) Once set up, you will be able to access any emails sent to your new domain name email address in your Email program, so you don’t need to change the way you access your emails. And you will still receive any emails sent to your old email address.
How easy is it to set up a domain name email address?
If you have a website and we host it for you then it is very easy for us to set up a domain name email address for you. Our hosting packages include up to 5 domain email accounts but you can have more than that for just a little extra cost. All you need to do is decide on the domain email address(s) you would like and then contact us. We will create the domain and provide you with the steps required to set this up on your computer.
If you don’t have a website currently we can still help you set up a domain name email address. To do this you will need to register a domain name and organise a hosting package.
